Holy smokes, this jersey was a complete surprise to me! I have a jersey buddy, Jeff, up in Canada that I broker jerseys for. A lot of places or sellers either won’t ship to Canada, don’t particularly like shipping to Canada, or when they do, charge an outrageous amount to do so. Jeff completes the transactions, ships them to me, and when there are five or six ready to go, I’ll ship them up to him. We’ll properly insure them and do everything on the up and up with customs, and within a week or two, he gets the package.

So recently, I got a message from Jeff with a tracking number and he let me know that this package is a gift for me. I figured it wasn’t anything crazy, as he’s done this in the past, and sent some snacks, candy, or a shirt, as a token of appreciation. Anyway, I went to pick up the package from my shipping shop and noticed the box size and weight were oddly jersey-ish. I got home and looked; sure enough, it was indeed a jersey. I shot him a message and was like Dude!!!

He lets me know he’s been overdue for picking up a Tyson Barrie gamer for a while, with him being an Oilers fan living in Victoria, and Tyson Barrie being from Victoria. He also said he’s been needing a 21-22 Home as well. Well sure enough he found a rack of well-priced former Oilers and found two Barrie 21-22 Home’s but couldn’t decide which one he wanted. He told me that he ended up taking both of them home, as he knew someone else who would want the other one.
